Week 2 Rankings/Updates/predictions/Trade
Pickems were close this week and because it is on Sleeper I do not need to do a separate graphic for it as it shows standings on there. I will say as a reminder there is a tie breaker portion all the way down at the bottom of the pickems to get the edge each week and even end of season. Only 4 people did the tie breaker and somehow Soundcloud, Bryan and myself all put 38 which is fucking hilarious. However, please do the tiebreaker and also this is your reminder to do pickems. Remember there is a prize, 1st place gets a $100, 2nd place gets $55 and 3rd place gets $25.
Alright as we build more content through the season these blogs will get longer. However, I got a question to ask, since Wings is no longer providing TCR video content. Would yall be interested in power rankings as a podcast form with more of a breakdown or would yall just like the blog to continue let me know. Just text me yes or no when you read this.
POWER RANKINGS -
1. Chuck - no change
Player of the week - CMC 25.2 points 31 total touches.
After a week leading up to here we go with CMC again he came out and dominated touches and looked great on the field. The Mahomes Kelce combo looks like it will be good and now Kelce needs to step up more if they want to win ball games cause there run game aint gonna do it. This team looked all around solid as predicted and should continue to look good heading into week 2.
2. Bryan - no change
Player of the week - Jakobi Meyers 8 catches 97 yards 17.7 points
There was not much of a show out from this team this week, in the starting line up at least. The bench performances as well as the showing of Jakobi being the #1 option especially if Brock Bowers is out multiple weeks after injuring his knee. Lots to look forward too and lots of upside with this team.
3. Wings - +5 (last week 8th)
Player of the week - Josh Allen 394 passing yards 30 rushing yards 4 TOTAL TDS
Well you showed why you took him with your first pick in the draft this year and it paid off. The showing of AJ Brown obviously was not great but the showing of Keon Coleman was as well as Breece Hall on your bench. There was a scare with Puka but he came back in and dominated touches even with Davante Adams in the fold, now is this a fluke or is this the Champ showing he is not here to fuck around.
4. Ryan - -1 (last week 3)
Player of the week - Chubba Hubbard 17.9 points 19 touches
Not a great showing from this team, but the talent is definitely there. BTJ and JJ will have better weeks but the emergence of Hollywood brown on your bench looking maybe he can be a difference maker will be interesting to see with Worthy gone for multiple weeks. Better days ahead for this squad.
5. Gio - +1 (last week 6)
Player of the week - Garret Wilson 9 catches 95 yards 1 TD 22.5 points
Gio great showing tough loss obviously but a great showing. Garret Wilson looks like he is back to being a WR1 conversation for fantasy after showing that him and his OSU QB still got that connection that got them both to the NFL. Bowers injury is definitely concerning with it being the knee and they have not provided an update since they ruled him out. Achane should be fine with guaranteed touches regardless of how bad the Dolphins offense looked. Also losing Brock Purdy sucks however you got the Midget who did not look half bad. Couple things to look out for to see if injuries will affect this roster.
6. Soundcloud - +4 (last week 10)
Player of the week - Derrick Henry 19 touches 182 total yards and 2 TDS
Soundcloud, congrats on your first official win in LOD. Derrick Henry showed age does not matter and carried you to this victory over Gio. This team had a few standouts. Deebo Samuel showed he is not washed, still built like a butterball but still performs and fits fell in that offense. Egbuka called game and looked great. 4 of his 6 targets were targeted with him in the redzone so that is definitely a plus. The thing to watch out for is obviously the injury to Drake London and to see if he will play this week especially against a tough Minnesota defense. Other than that, nice win.
7. Rob - no change
Player of the week - Lamar Jackson 70 yards rushing 2 passing and 1 rushing touchdown.
Rob tough week but a lot of positive things for this squad. Keenan Allen is gonna be in the WR2 conversation because it looks like the Chargers will be a pass first offense and he looked fantastic. Travis Etienne is reminding everyone he is a dog and now with Tank gone, Etienne enters the RB1 conversation. Tyler Warren looks the #1 option for Daniel jones in Indy and the target share on your team is great. This team has a good shot Rob, as long as you make a little time you can make a run.
8. Erik - -4 (4 last week)
Player of the week - Broncos Defense 6 sacks, 2 FF, 2 fum recover and 133 total yards allowed
Erik continues to find a way to disappoint. St brown and Terry will be fine. However you just lost Worthy for multiple weeks, Pickens did not look like a priority but more of a decoy. Jared Goff looked like Rams Jared Goff with no MCVAY. Your bench has no upside Kaleb looks like he will not get shit, Rachaad white is not even really a handcuff and played 24 percent of snaps. Downs is an after thought now. This team is going to have some challenges down the line with no back up plans or other options really worth to play.
9. Ant - -4 (Previously 5)
Player of the week - Ceedee Lamb 7 catches 110 yards 4 Drops
This was not a great start for the tank commander as you took the biggest hit this week. Aaron jones saved by a touchdown as it looks like he is splitting work, same with Walker who only averaged 2 yards a carry and split work with Charbonnet. George kittle is out for awhile. Ricky Pearsall might have mac jones throwing him the ball and Nico looked sluggish out the gate. You have some upside with young Rbs on your bench in Harvey and Benson. This team has some hope with great pieces to trade but the way week 1 looked with your RBS and now no Kittle. I feel a trade coming soon.
10. Nauch - -1 (Previously 9)
Player of the week - you did not have one I am sorry
This was rough for you, but you almost Frauched your way to a dub. This teams showing was horrendous. Hurts did his usual thing, Gibbs could not run the football at all but did have 10 catches which is great. Hampton looks like the main RB in a pass first offense so maybe some upside there. Diggs looks like he needs a couple more weeks and Mark Andrews you can probably drop. Pacheco is in a time share and a really bad one. This looks like a rough year for you as I do not think this team will do much unless you trade your stars to try and build a well rounded team. If not this team has potential to finish with one of the worst records of all time.
