Draft Rankings/league updates/Week 1 Rankings

 

    Sup whores welcome to the official start of season 10 of LOD. First things first, I like to announce the retirement of blogger boy Ant. He wanted to go down the chat GPT route which is when he knew it was time to hang it up on the blog. Since he wanted to retire he has now joined 2 more leagues of fantasy football and will drive himself more crazy. 

    I was waiting till this week to drop draft rankings and week 1 predictions and my overall power rankings while waiting for rosters to finalize and even today when I was pretty much done typing this, Amari Cooper retired and got paid. Now they got to pay him with some fake tree planting shell corporation just like Kawhi Leonard. With that being said I was originally transferring all the shit and doing the website since nobody wanted discord pretty much. Since you bitches want to complain, guess what no website, was even trying to turn it into an app on the phone to make it easier for everyone else. Now i scrapped it all since you bitches are impatient so now you just get blog spot once a week like the old days. Also this all would have got finished if I did not have to fix the schedule as well because Wings try to chat GPT it and it did not work out at all. 

    Another update, remember Chucks pickems are on sleeper you guys all joined. Very simple process you choose 10 teams a week and pick their spread. For those that do not understand what a spread it you are taking how much they are winning by if you take the -5.5 and if you are taking +5.5 that means that can not lose by more than 5 or its a L. The tie breaker is at the very bottom and you just guess how many points are scored each week for the game that pops up. You can choose any 10 games out of the week, you can edit them up until their official gametime for each game. Once it locks, it locks. 

    Alright enough of that here are your rankings for who had the best draft.


1. Bryan Phelps - Draft grade A+

Best pick - Ja'Marr Chase 1.5

    Bryan had the best draft by far. Getting Ja'Mmar Chase at 5 was kind of insane considering he has been a top 3 pick in most drafts, also with the bonuses for receivers in this league. He has built a solid core with this team and is looking to prove the haters wrong this year. 

Worst pick - T.J. Hockenson 6.6

    This was your worst pick in the draft, in 6 years he has only played 2 healthy seasons and is now going on his 3rd different QB in 3 years. In an offense that will probably sling it taking a TE like Hockenson in the 6th is always a giant risk because of the injury bug. He might prove me wrong with Jordan Addison out the first 3 weeks, however this pick when players like Worthy, Jamo, Conner and Wilson available this was def a bit of a reach. 

Sleeper pick - Jakobi Meyers 9.5 

    This was obviously the most hyped pick of the draft because of how many people were targeting them, but a receiver that saw 129 targets even with Brock Bowers there is kind of insane. The volume alone makes him a WR 1/2 in fantasy. He requested a trade then rescinded it and then Amari cooper retires. This could be a big piece for you this upcoming season. 

2. Chuck - Draft Grade A+

Best pick - CMC 1.10 and Ashton Jeanty at 2.1

    This was best picks for me by far. CMC when healthy and the hype around Jeanty are both projected to be top 5 fantasy running backs. CMC is a league winner pretty much almost every year if he stays healthy. Jeanty will be getting a shit ton of touches in this Raiders offense as well. Much to see from these 2. 

Worst Pick - Marvin Harrison JR. 4.1

    This was my worst pick in the draft, based off of the players that were available in McConkey, Smith-Njigba, and Kyren Williams. Marvin had an awful rookie year and did not live up to the hype of his college career or his fathers name that he was cursed with. He has to worry about the midget focusing on football as well. 

Sleeper pick - Deandre Swift 8.1 

    This pick will be interesting, Deandre swift is in a Ben Johnson offense this year. Swift is a great pass catcher out of the backfield and a much improved runner. He will playing the Gibbs role in this offense and has the potential to just explode in what everyone is expecting to be a much improved offense and team that is looking to take the next step. 

3. Erik - Draft grade A

Best Pick - Xaiver Worthy 6.7 

    This was your best pick in the draft, a deep threat that developed a lot of trust with Mahomes last year and is now the WR1 again with Rashee Rice recovering from injury still and also having a 6 game suspension. Worthy is going to get after it this season and has top 10 fantasy receiver upside based off of trust with Mahomes and his deep threat and speed ability like Tyreek. 

Worst pick - Jonathan Taylor 2.7 

    Taylor is going on 3 straight seasons off missing multiple games in a season. The Talent is there for JT, but trusting him to stay healthy and also having a much tougher schedule this year, in games where they more than likely will be playing from behind and with rookie DJ Giddens there who they drafted to be a pass catching back for them and was also a solid runner in the big 12 with multiple 1000 yard seasons, just saying watch out. 

Sleeper pick - Colston Loveland 11.4

    I liked this pick for you. Another guy in a Ben Johnson offense with a big body. There is not a dominant receiver in this offense like he had with St. Brown. Loveland could be a huge safety blanket this year for Caleb and essentially play the role Laporta had and this gives him a ton of upside. 

4. Gio - Draft Grade B+

Best pick - Bijan Robinson 1.2

    The guy that has been going #1 in drafts you got a 2 because we had to swag draft for rob. However anytime you get the consensus #1 pick later in the draft even at 2 is a huge W.

Worst Pick - Jaxon Smith-Njigba 4.9 

    He had a great year last year do not get me wrong,. He now has a new QB, he now is the WR 1 with his only help being Cooper Kupp. Smith-Njigba is entering a new era in seattle and we could see him not live up to what he put up last year as while people will say DK aint that good and Tyler lockets age, he still had more help to take away from him being the main WR shadowed in that offense. Kirk cousins left the Vikings and QB guru and look what happened to him. Same thing might happen to Sam Darnold. I do think there were some better options here and this being your WR 1 on your team I would be a little frightened, but you rounded out your other receivers well. 

Sleeper pick - Garret Wilson 7.2 

    This was insane that he even fell this far. This guy is a WR 1 and averages over 140 targets a season so far. He also finished as WR 10 last year in an offense where Rodgers was just tryna get the ball to his buddy Davante Adams. The next person up to now challenge him for targets is Josh Reynolds lmao. This pick has the potential to be the biggest steal of the year as he has Top 5 fantasy WR upside. 

5. Ant - Draft Grade B

Best pick - Nico Collins 2.5 

    Nico halfway through the second round is always worth the risk in a high power offense. Nicos only problem is him staying healthy. The Texans do not have Joe mixon for 4 games minimum and Collins has said he made it a point this offseason to work on his overall body to make sure he stays healthy this upcoming season. If he stays healthy top 3 WR fantasy potential. 

Worst pick - Kenneth Walker 5.6 

    I do not understand the hype around Kenneth walker at all but mfs love him. He has never played a full season healthy. Hes ran over 1000 yards once and does not really catch the football. He is also supposed to be your RB 1 on your team. I do not expect this to end well. 

Sleeper pick - RJ Harvey 7.6 

    A rookie running back in what is supposed to be a much improved offense that was already good. JK dobbins is only in front of him but you have him as well so it does not matter. This kid has already been turning heads all camp is expected to take control and Dominate this broncos backfield. Watch out for Harvey yall, kid is explosive. 

6. Ryan - Draft grade B-

Best pick - BTJ 3.3 

    This was an amazing pick here. He finished as WR 4 last year in this league and getting him in the 3rd round is nuts. He did that with Mac Jones being his QB for half the season. LSU WRs continue to dominate the NFL and with the upside and potential of what BTJ can do this pick here was a no brainer.

Worst pick - Rashee Rice 4.8 

    With the rumors of a suspension you still took Rice here coming off of an ACL injury as well and now he his gone for the first 6 weeks of the season. So you get Rashee coming off a major injury for only 7 games and you take him in the 4th. Not a great pick here, regardless of how much I love Rashee. 

Sleeper Pick - Calvin Ridley 9.3 

    I feel like this Mf shows up in sleeper picks every year but how can he not. 120 and 130 targets in back to back seasons now. He finally has WRs on the outside to help out in Ayomanor and Tyler Lockett and a rookie QB who can sling it. This could be the year Ridley gets back to who he was from when he got hurt/got caught gambling. 

7. Wings - Draft grade C

Best Pick - Alvin Kamara 5.7 

    This pick here felt gross cause he is 30 like the rest of us except he gets paid millions of dollars and gets to wear a nose ring like hes lil uzi. He is not a running back, hes not drafted to run the damn football for your team, that is just a bonus with him. Even with him always missing at least 1 to 2 games a season he finishes as a RB1 pretty much every season. His pass catching ability makes him special and he is gonna be relied on a lot again this year. 

Worst pick - Josh Allen 1.7 

    We know why you took this pick you were afraid he would be gone, but with Qb nerfs no QB is worth a round 1 pick you homer. 

Sleeper Pick - Matthew Golden 12.4 

    This is a big sleeper pick with high upside. The speedster out of Texas in an offense that loves to throw it deep. With the way green bay receivers drop as long as he stays healthy this looks like an amazing pick here with a packers team that is expected to turn some heads and make a playoff run. 

8. Soundcloud - Draft Grade C- 

Best Pick - Drake London 3.9 

    Drake London is coming off a season finishing as WR 5 and getting him at the end of the 3rd round is nice. He has improved every year and will now get a full season of Penix under his belt. This can be a really great year for Drake London in what is to be a great offense.

Worst picks - Sam Laporta 5.9 , Brian Robinson 7.9 

    These picks were both equally awful. New offensive scheme in Detroit and he already was not a top 3 option there and still is not. Brian Robinson was already guaranteed to get traded or released pretty much at this time and now he is a back up to CMC and is not even guaranteed to be the primary #2. 

Sleeper Pick - Emeka Egbuka 9.9 

    The prospect out of Ohio State got put in a perfect situation. Now hes the WR2 with Mcmillan out and Godwin out and has the potential to explode out the gate. In a pass first offense Egbuka can finish in top 20 territory this season. 

Rob and Nauch, because you did not draft your teams yall do not get draft grades. Better luck next year as we will be drafting in person again. 

    Those were your draft rankings, that was based off how well you drafted. Now here are your power rankings and week 1 predictions and the power rankings will get more in depth after week 1. 

1. Chuck -

    This team is stacked head to toe with potential to blow people out every week as the back to back highest score of the regular season and now with another team that will be explosive with points or shit the bed. Look out yall hes making a run for it. 

2. Bryan - 

    Chef Bryan opening the year #2 on the power rankings which I think is his highest ever. This team has the chance to turn heads with sure cut #1 options in this offense with a ton of fire power, this team is looking to cook up a mean season. 

3. Ryan - 

    Ryan its your final season of fantasy football as a non married guy, typically there is a buff to these things for fantasy purposes. This team alone has the potential to be carried by 3 guys every week and then has a lot of nice pieces built around it. Good luck brother Ryan. 

4. Erik -

    Erik always has a team that has extreme hype around it and here we are again with that. There is nothing but TD scorers on this roster and is a scary site to play every week. Can Erik beat the he can not draft allegations? lets find out. 

5. Ant - 

    Tanklord is here in full effect and is in the middle of the pact to start the year. His seemed right where you belong as this team is the all week to week boom or bust team. Will it be 5 big booms or will it be 5 big dooms?

6. Gio - 

    Yea yea yea you are projected the most points this week but not everyone is a projection whore. This team like Ants is boom or bust and has alot of risk especially with the injury bug. up to you to proved you are not washed and that single gio is the best fantasy player there is. 

7. Rob - 

    The swag team is here and has alot of potential for boom and a ton of question marks. The upside of this team is insane. The swag boost is always a plus as we all know Rob will have weeks where he drops like 250 for no reason at all. Do not sleep on rob.

8. Wings - 

    Returning champ not off to a great start, even when you were not happy with your running backs and there is nobody on this team that has that potential to carry you. You are relying on good weeks every week from this team and there will be downside due to there teams situations surrounding them. 

9. Nauch - 

    This team is built on the back of Hurtado and a little bit of me. All things considered this team is still not bad. It also is relying on a bounce back of a couple old heads and a redemption season for 2 people. This team did not deem for me to rank them last, plus Hampton getting announced as starter is massive. 

10. Soundcloud - 

    Well rookie you learning the hard way like you did at the combine. You cant start 2 TEs this week and expect not to be noticed like how I was given multiple reports of you dumping out your edward 40 hands beers while you were taking a piss. This is looking to be a long season for you rookie, this aint the combine you in the show now.
